Just a couple weeks ago we set out to film for the Designed for Life Women's Conference hosted by James River Assembly. The whole process of filming was long, exciting, and rewarding.
We were up most mornings ready to film by 5am. Naturally, this made the talent a bit tired. I like to think it helped them stay in character as we rode around town shooting some downtown scenes.
Up and ready by 5am. Naps are acceptable
We were led this week by Josh Boston as laid out the vision of the film for us. Him and Gum worked together planning through the shots and reworking them as we went along. Without these two, the production wouldn't have been nearly as smooth. Or fun.
There were many, including myself, who tagged along to help with photography and to lend our help as grips. There were some holding mics, others acting, and even more helping to tote stuff around. I am proud to have worked with such an upbeat and encouraging group of people.
Through the whole process we learned a lot. Designed for Life is just around the corner and I can't wait to see the lives changed with the help of this film.
Our brilliant intern, Elijah, hard at work. Always lending a helping hand where needed.
